Cavell's grass snake has returned and was seen yesterday basking in the sun and enjoying a swim. We are incredibly lucky to be able to enjoy looking at this wonderful creature. Grass snakes are becoming a rare sight in the UK and need all the help they can get, through management of their habitat. They are extremely shy and non-venomous. They feed on amphibians (small toads and frogs), which is why we think our snake enjoys our new pond so much.

  • Intergenerational lunch Today we held our first intergenerational lunch with four members of our local community.  The CUEs (Cavell Uniting Everyone squad) hosted the event, which involved a tour of the school, a hearty lunch and an opportunity for the children to play some card games and dominos!  The best part, according to the children, was the chance to have a chat - it's amazing what you can learn from your elders!
